First, there have been a lot of changes! We staff know that school and extra curriculum's and such are taking up a lot of people's time, and we appreciate you taking the time to keep returning to this site!
There are have been some changes, and I hope that there are many more to come!

Okai! So, by random conversation, there is a new game on Meerkat Manor! It's called The Insomniac, and the point is to stay up as late as possible. The winner gets the title of Insomniac for a week, and $250. (in game currencey, btw) Rules will be posted in the member lounge!

There are going to be some changes made on MM! We will be deleting more inactive members, inactive clans and boards, and the really old posts. The side table will have a whole new look, and the boards may even look a bit foreign to you. We won't be going into maintenance-mode this time, but we do ask that you are patient with the staff until all these changes are complete. Things will be a little hard to find at first, but no worries; you'll find it! Please check the archives for a post before you ask a staff member about it!

First off, if you are new to Meerkat Manor, you need to post in the Meerkat and Member Sweep so you won't be deleted. Second, I know that the boards are a little messy, and that will be fixed. From April 24, 2009 - April 26, 2009, the site will be under matinence mode! By the time we re-open it back up, we will have a new Meerkat Manor! So, if there is anything new you want to see, post it in the Suggestions thread so we may be able to get it on here before we go into matinence mode. Thank you!

We are seeing more new and old faces again at Meerkat Manor! Great! Also, if you have any suggestions for MM (Something you want to see on here.), I've started a suggestions thread in the Member Board. We will also try and bring back Meerkat Mansion, a spin off of Meerkat Manor, but Meerkat Mansion is about the true events going on in the Meerkat Manor RPG boards. We will be holding auditions soon for the writers! Check back here soon for more information!

The female had grown quiet so he turned his attention to the other female the one that didn't actively take interest in him automatically todd did say that some females were hard to get, but they were always the funnest. But why bother when the interest of one was already present the interest of procreation was there that was all they needed.

I ran up to him, keeping my calm.
It seemed he was in more of a covert operation to kill me, and was just protecting himself.
But, then again, I was extremely paranoid.
I reached him and inclined my head.
"Maybe you should join us." I said it in more of a command tone.
He wasn't getting away easily.

    Years ago, humans were faced with a dire problem. Stray and homeless dogs were running the cities. Shelters were overflowing. And no one was adopting. What could they do? Some voted for a mass euthanasia . But many people felt that it was animal cruelty. Riots broke out, people were shot, and nothing was done about the dogs. Finally, one day, the country leaders got together and decided they would take the dogs in boats, in sealed crates, and drop them into the ocean off the coast of an abandoned island:
    Destiny Island.

    Many drowned. Some were spared by the merciful tides.
    When they arrived ashore, they banded together. For two years they remained in one huge pack, breeding, hunting and living in relative peace. However, instincts soon kicked in, blood began to turn sour, and as it grew, the pack turned against one another. Many bloody battles were had, many were injured, many were killed and many more just disappeared.
    Finally, after so much blood was spilled, the surviving dogs called a truce and split into four separate packs, each living by their own values, guided by the same general ideas the Great Pack once had...

Appearance:
Rune is shorter than most his age,but makes up for it with his large,sturdy,slightly muscled build;making it so he's quite strong - as well as his large claws and decent sized teeth. His fur is a very light brown,almost cream and is missing a few fur patches due to fights! He has dark blue eyes which often look black at night and his pupils are slightly diluted. His nose is kind of small and oddly shaped.
Personality:
Rune,sometimes known as Run for his ability to run much faster than his peers is a rough and tumble kind of guy. He loves a good fight and isn't afraid to get dirty or get blood on his fur. He particular likes fighting over women. If winning a fight for a lady doesn't work,she's obviously not much use and he'll just force himself on her. He often cant control his anger,if somebody gets him mad even over a little thing...like a sleeping spot he'll go to the extreme - sometimes he'll even kill them! Although he's got obvious anger issues,he can be quite sweet when he wants something. But as soon as he's got what he wants the fake niceness is over. He has no need for friends,just a desire to hurt people and make as many pups as possible. He often doesn't meet any of his kids and it's just as well...or he'd well,rip them to shreds!

Elihu enjoyed the teamwork, however it was obvious it would not last very long as they had other duties to attend to. One he took seriously he rubbed his scent on the burrow then anal scent marked it along with the two bushes on each side swiping his scent on them to ward off males and rival groups.

Omega was forced to let go of his mother who went to help his father he looked around with hazel pools then spotted Shirokiro he ran towards his brother and play tackled him.

The air whistled by the creature, whipping through his furry mane as he ran at a heated pace from one unknown to another. His legs were starting to tire from his almost pointless dash, though his paws longed to go further. Just one more stride, they assured, just one more and you shall reach the place beyond. All he could do was obey, as his paws gave him no choice. So he kept going. Stupid paws.

He had eaten, in fact. As his paws had been merciful enough for that to be granted him. His stomach argued that the few morsels were not enough, and to that he thoroughly agreed to. The stubborn paws would not hear of it, however, ignoring the opposing side as though it never existed. There the conflict begun once again.

A snarl escaped through his clenched teeth in pure frustration. Was there not a day in his life that always had one thing going against another inside him that was out of his control? Was there not a side that would give up for once and let him control his desires and wishes? It was if his body had always been in conflict from day one, and didn't know the meaning of 'cooperation' for all they were worth. Of course, they didn't. They didn't even have a brain cell on them, so what's the point?

Finally his paws submitted to his will, and he slowed down to a trot, then a stand-still. He took this time to look over his surroundings while catching his breath; royal amber-gold eyes scanning every aspect within range. Grasses sprang up in a fair abundance, though looking a bit dull. Before he could cover anymore details of the place, his stomach protested. Very well, he thought with a sigh, food first; scenery later.

While his was about half way done with satisfying his stomach with some insects of his taste, a sensation tickled his senses. It seemed he had some company. Gulping down a last morsel, he raised himself on his hind legs, sweeping his gaze around to catch any sign of larger life than insects. Then he spotted something among the grasses. What is this?
